UK‑born sole national. Have held no other nationality at any time. Have continuously resided in the United Kingdom for the past five years. Be able to obtain and maintain full UK security clearance in accordance with government vetting standards. Provide satisfactory evidence of identity, nationality, and residency as part of the clearance process.

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our team and engage in a diverse range of client projects within the defence, national security, environmental and research sectors. The role involves the provision of strategic risk‑management advice and technical consultancy within the context of cybersecurity. As a consultant, you will lead smaller technical delivery teams, scope and carry out interesting technical work, provide technical input into bid work, engage with clients to refine scopes of work and support junior security professionals. About You We’d like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate expertise in at least one of the following areas:
Security governance, risk and compliance (GRC) aligned with HMG cybersecurity and information assurance policies, standards, and guidance. Securing OT (Operational Technologies) for military platforms and/or critical national infrastructure. Operating and federating Security Operations Centre (SOC) operations across multiple environments; knowledge of cyber detection and response. DevSecOps. Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) expertise for enterprise, cloud and air‑gapped environments.
Key technical knowledge that will help in our projects includes:
Consultancy experience. Knowledge of secure‑by‑design. Cybersecurity industry standards (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443). Understanding of cloud‑native infrastructure (microservices, containerisation, Kubernetes, serverless). Experience with SIEM, SOAR and EDR. Knowledge of data and analytics in cybersecurity contexts.
Excellent consultancy, verbal and written communication, stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential. Line‑management experience is beneficial for some roles.
