Senior Data Architect - Central Government
Contract: 6 Months (with strong possibility of extension)
Location: London office 3 times per month

We are working with a central government department seeking an experienced x2 Senior Data Architects for an initial 6 month contract.

This role will suit someone who can operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, shaping data architecture while advising on how AI technologies can be effectively and responsibly embedded within government data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and evolution of enterprise-scale data architectures for complex government environments.

Support large-scale data transformation initiatives, including modernisation of legacy data platforms.

Define and implement data standards, models, and governance frameworks.

Advise on the use of AI and advanced analytics within data architecture (e.g. ML-ready data platforms, metadata, lineage, and quality considerations).

Work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and delivery partners to ensure alignment with policy and business outcomes.

Ensure solutions align with government data principles, security, and compliance requirements.

This role will be deemed inside IR35 and will be paying up to £800 per day. Due to the nature of the work, you will be required to have BPSS Clearance. If you are an experienced Data Architect with knowledge of AI within the Central Government space, please send me your CV for a chat.
