Senior Data Architect (Cloud | Event-Driven | Thought Leader) London, Edinburgh, or Manchester - 2 days/week in office
We’re supporting a Tier 1 bank as they reset and modernise their data architecture, simplifying a complex monolithic estate to make data more accessible, event driven and cloud native. This is en exciting opportunity to help shape the blueprint at a pivotal moment of change while bringing others on the journey.
They’re looking for a Senior Data Architect who combines deep technical expertise with thought leadership and strong stakeholder presence. You will challenge thinking, lead discussions and help embed modern data principles across the organisation, influencing at senior levels while staying pragmatic and hands on.
What You’ll Do Define and deliver the data architecture vision for a critical domain Design cloud native, event driven, microservices based architectures Drive adoption of Data Mesh , Data as a Product and streaming first approaches Influence and educate senior business, technology and regulatory stakeholders Guide and mentor engineers and architects through the transition to modern practices
