LONDON - HYBRID - £80,000 - £95,000

Our client is a fast-growing, data-driven organisation building a modern analytics and ML platform. The team works across multiple data domains, enabling business partners to access reliable, high-quality datasets and drive impactful insights.


Responsibilities


As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:


  • Build and maintain central data models for ML, insights, and search pipelines
  • Design production-ready data pipelines delivering high-quality datasets to partner teams
  • Work with Databricks, AWS, dbt, Airflow, and Looker to implement robust solutions
  • Lead technically complex initiatives and contribute to the team’s roadmap
  • Improve engineering efficiency through internal tooling, CI/CD, and monitoring
  • Mentor junior engineers and support business teams in self-service data capabilities
  • Foster a collaborative data culture and promote best practices across the organisation


Requirements


  • Proven track record delivering production-ready data engineering projects end-to-end
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience on platforms like Databricks, Airflow, dbt, and Looker
  • Experience in data modelling, data warehousing, and performance/cost optimisation
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, documentation, and project planning
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure as code best practices
  • Passion for mentoring and fostering growth in less experienced engineers
