Responsibilities

  • Adapts latest trends in Data Science/Data Mining/Big Data field for application within role and the business.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications as well as makes strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, leveraging diplomacy to guide, influence and convince internal and external stakeholders.
  • Applies ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution in both complicated and novel contexts.
  • Employs sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives to make refined judgments and sound solutions.
  • Consults on business operations offering authoritative advice to influence significant business outcomes.
  • Responsible for informing and implementing the sub function’s technical strategy.
  • Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
  • Lead integration of functions with understanding of client core business functions and partner with multiple senior management teams to meet goals and deploy new products and process enhancements.
  • Solve the highest-impact, highest-profile problems with significant business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions) and communicate with external parties as needed.
  • Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions as a technical expert in all development and implementation phases, providing in-depth and sophisticated analyses to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

  • Proven years experience in working with various data teams.
  • Detailed understanding of latest data technologies and solutions towards how they can help solve for next generation business needs.
  • Experience using tools statistical modeling.
  • Comprehensive experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology.
  • Proven interpersonal, management and prioritization skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree.
