Senior Data Scientist
London – (3 days a week in office)
Up to £90,000
About the Role
Our client is an data-driven organisation focused on delivering measurable operational and financial improvements across a range of industries. They bring together expertise across data, technology and delivery to build and deploy advanced analytics solutions that have real-world impact.
As a Data Scientist, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build and productionise data science and analytics products within client environments. Your work will be directly tied to value creation, helping organisations make smarter, data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Understanding business challenges and translating them into value-linked data science solutions.
Working closely with data engineers to define data requirements and pipelines.
Performing exploratory data analysis and recreating key business KPIs.
Feature engineering in collaboration with machine learning engineers, ensuring production-ready standards.
Developing, deploying and maintaining machine learning models.
Evaluating project impact through experimentation and A/B testing.
Your work will focus on delivering high-value insights and solutions, including:
Building optimisation models to improve efficiency and throughput.
Developing predictive models to reduce risk and prevent downtime.
Designing churn prediction strategies to improve customer retention.
Identifying next-best actions to support sales and commercial teams.
Applying geospatial modelling to optimise footprint and location strategy.
What We’re Looking For
At least 2+ years’ experience applying data science to deliver commercial impact.
A strong academic background (Bachelor’s degree 2:1 or above in a quantitative subject).
Strong Python skills (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn or similar).
A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
Experience working in cross-functional teams delivering production-ready solutions.
