The Senior Design Manager role

  Drive design strategy for major hospital projects.

  Act as the strategic lead, ensuring technically compliant, cost-efficient solutions aligned with client requirements.

• \n
  Influence early-stage design decisions and submissions to maximise value and win work.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, compliant solutions.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, planning permissions, Building Regulations, CDM regulations, and contract-specific standards.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Identify opportunities for design improvement and manage risks effectively.
  \n
\n

  Chartered professional (CIOB, RICS, ICE, RIBA).
  \n
\n
• \n
  Extensive experience in design management for large-scale projects (£300m+), ideally healthcare.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Strong knowledge of CDM and Building Regulations.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Expertise in P23, NEC3 contracts, and healthcare sector delivery.
  \n
\n
• \n
  Proven ability to lead strategically, influence decisions, and build strong client relationships.
