Senior Design Manager – Tier 1 Main Contractor

West London

£80,000 – £100,000 + Package

We’re working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor to appoint a Senior Design Manager on a flagship new build data centre project in West London.

This is a high-profile, technically complex scheme, offering the opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure within one of the fastest-growing sectors in construction.

The Role:

You will lead the design process from pre-construction through to delivery, ensuring coordination across all disciplines and driving technical excellence on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the full design lifecycle across all RIBA stages Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, and specialist subcontractors, particular focus on the M&E subcontractors Drive design programme, information release schedules, and risk mitigation Ensure compliance with client requirements, building regulations, and technical standards Oversee design reviews, value engineering, and buildability input Work closely with delivery and commercial teams to ensure successful project outcomes

About You:

Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager with a Tier 1 or leading contractor Strong background delivering large-scale, technically complex projects (data centres, commercial, or infrastructure ) Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills Strong understanding of MEP integration and design management processes
