Role Purpose:
The Senior Designer is responsible for leading the design process for their category, developing innovative concepts, and bringing new products to market. This role involves managing the design lifecycle, ensuring timelines are met, and that styles align with the brand's creative vision, quality, and sustainability standards. The Senior Designer also mentors and guides junior design team members.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Delivering at pace the Design vision of COO and Design Director for your category.
- Lead the day-to-day design of your category, from concept to final sample. Creating a commercial collection aligned with our AllSaints aesthetic.
- Develop innovative design concepts and present them to senior management.
- Manage the design process, including sketching, sampling, reviewing protos, ordering SMS, ensuring adherence to the critical path.Strive to ensure all fabrics, trims, processes, etc., are sustainable and align with the companys ethical standards.
- Work with our in-house Atelier on seasonal developments and special projects.
- Support any special collaboration projects.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and assistant designers.
- Collaborate with your category Buyer to ensure design vision is executed and key commercial styles are kept relevant and new.
- Work closely with Retail and Wholesale teams making sure the storytelling of the collection is communicated through Seasonal Presentations and Product Knowledge meetings
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
What Skills You'll Need:
- Proven experience as a Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative design skills and successful product launches.
- Exceptional creative design skills and a strong understanding of current trends and consumer preferences.
- Strong understanding of the product development process, from concept to production, with the ability to manage complex projects.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration both internally with all product teams and externally with suppliers.
- Technical expertise in garment construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Ability to create detailed technical sketches and specifications.
- Awareness of sustainability principles and ethical sourcing practices in the fashion industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic AllSaints environment.
ABOUT THE LOCATION
