The Opportunity\n\nAmentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment.

PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.\n\nThe Project\n\nBox Encapsulation Plant Product Store (BEPPS2) is a PPP Major Project to design and construct a new mechanical handling waste storage facility that will safely store waste packages for many years to come. The project status is currently at detailed design.\n\nThe Role\n\nBEPPS2 now has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Senior EC&I Engineer to join the team in Birchwood, Warrington.\n\nAs a Senior EC&I Engineer your responsibilities will include\n\n * Provide design support to procurement, manufacture, and installation teams.\n\n * Management of CE&I design configuration baseline in response to developing project requirements and design information from the supply chain.\n\n * Checking and reviewing CE&I design deliverables to programme deadlines and to appropriate relevant standards, codes, and regulations.\n\n * Working with the supply chain, supporting design aspects of contracts in ensuring suppliers meet client Engineering Standards, responding to Technical Queries, supporting production of test specification and attendance at Works Acceptance Testing at supplier facilities.\n\n * To integrate and coordinate the above CE&I systems into the wider project, via Building Interface Modelling (BIM), working with the other engineering and non-technical disciplines.\n\n * Support the project Commissioning team activities.\n\n * Responsibility for ensuring that throughout remaining phases of the project lifecycle, the CE&I design intent is aligned to safety case requirements (nuclear and conventional) and ensuring all functional requirements are met, ensuring Validation and Verification is adequately managed.\n\nAs a Senior EC&I Engineer you will have;\n\n * BEng/MEng degree or HND/HNC in a relevant field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.\n\n * Professionally registered or be working towards professional registration.\n\n * Demonstrable experience in a similar role, previous Nuclear experience is highly desirable though not essential providing that suitable experience can be demonstrated.\n\n * Evidence of their design competence through previous work and projects.\n\n * Conversant with existing CAE tools, e.g. Autodesk AutoCAD.\n\nAbout Amentum\n\nWe’ll inspire and empower you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow and succeed today and into tomorrow.
