Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services - Remote

My client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work from their home to provide support across Scotland.The position is primarily, although not exclusively, to assist in the support of our major clients that serve the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Justice.The projects generally have one to several months design periods and are varied in nature, giving the appointed engineer an ever changing and interesting range of design duties.Ideally, the candidate will have the following attributes:Degree qualified, although we would also welcome applications from engineers who have progressed through the practical side of the industry with recognised academic qualifications.Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.Be able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and most importantly our clients representatives.Be able to meaningfully contribute to meetings with clients, project teams, contractors and other stakeholders.Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications, and other related documents.Good knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, regulations, guides, and all-round good practice.Knowledge of the following systems is essential:LV Distribution Systems.Lighting and Emergency Lighting.Small Power.Fire Alarms and Detection.Security.IT and Communications.Lightning Protection.Standby Power Supplies.Earthing.Knowledge of the following systems is beneficial: -HV Distribution Systems.Proficiency in all or some of the following would also be advantageous:Amtech.Hevacomp.AutoCad.NBS Specification Writing.Microsoft Word and Excel.SALARY- Very Competitive, largely dependent on experience.BENEFITSA generous annual leave allowanceHome WorkingCompany LaptopCompany Mobile PhoneFlexible working arrangementsPension Contribution 4% of SalaryPrivate Healthcare SchemeADDITIONAL BENEFITSIf you are interested in the above role and would like to discuss in more details, please contact Helen for a confidential chat on 07795 138 057.JBRP1_UKTJ
