An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a well-established, globally recognised engineering organisation specialising in critical power and electrical test systems. With operations across the globe, the company is known for delivering innovative, high-reliability engineering solutions used in mission-critical environments worldwide.
As an experienced ElectricalDesignEngineertosupportthedevelopmentand integrationofallelectricalcomponentsandcontrolsystemsfor the company power systems.Youll collaborate with Mechanical, Systems and Software engineers to deliver state-of-the-art solutions for customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Translatecustomerrequirementstodevelopthepower systemselectricaldefinitionand specification.
Producewiringdiagramsandschematics(AutoCAD/SolidWorks)andselect components/specifications considering standards, availability and cost.
CollaboratewithMechanicalandSystemsteamsoncomponent/system integration.
Supportkeyvendorsintheconstructionandmanufactureofproductswithelectrical elements.
Addresscomplexdesignandmanufacturingchallengeswithintheengineering team.
Present/discussideaswithsuppliersandcreateprototypes/samplesfor testing.
Producedetailedelectricaldesigndocuments(layoutdrawingsand calculations).
Communicatewithmechanicaldesignengineerstoproducedetaileddesignsinatimely manner.
DeliveraccurateBillsofMaterials(BOMs)andprepare/checkdocumentationtomeet requirements.
Keepuptodatewiththelatestmanufacturingtechniquesanddrawing standards.
Skills & Experience Required
DegreeinElectrical&ElectronicEngineeringpreferred(orequivalent experience).
Experienceincontrol-paneldesign (preferred).
Knowledgeofelectricalwiring (preferred).
ProficientwithAutoCADorSolidWorksElectrical;understandingof3D modelling/design (preferred).
High-levelexperiencecreatingelectrical schematics.
Teamplayerwithstrongcommunicationskillsandtheabilitytopresentcomplexideas clearly.
CompetentwithMicrosoftOffice;awarenessofmechanicaldesignandabilitytoread dimensional drawings.
FamiliarwithBOMstructuresand management.
Experience working with any of the following industries / areas would be beneficial:
- Critical power or energy infrastructure systems
- Industrial automation or control systems
- Electrical test or commissioning environments
- Generator or power distribution equipment
- Industrial electronics or control panels
