Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineers (Building Services) - Leeds

RPS is seeking Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineers (Building Services) to join our offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, or Newcastle on a hybrid basis.

About Our Design Division: We deliver projects across sectors such as residential, logistics, retail, healthcare, education, data centres, and energy, balancing sustainability, cost, and constructability. Digitalisation is central to our approach, enabling clients to experience designs from concept through detailed drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Produce detailed design calculations and sketches based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers and Technicians on design and drawings.
• Assist in survey, design, specification, and contract administration.
• Conduct surveys, design work, project administration, and site visits.
• Perform detailed electrical building services design for new and refurbishment projects.
• Support feasibility studies, concept, and scheme design stages.
• Attend design meetings and inspect electrical systems.
• Utilise software for calculations and ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards.
• Produce and review drawings, specify products, and contribute to business development (for Principal level).

Candidate Profile: Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with experience aligned to IET or CIBSE standards. Proficiency in electrical systems design, AutoCAD, and software like Amtech is required. Good communication skills are essential.
