Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for a 12 Month contract can be based in Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol or Nottingham.Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experiencePurpose of the role:Aviation Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) design team, delivering electrical building services and specialist aircraft systems for complex aviation facilities. This role involves leading electrical design, supporting multidisciplinary project teams, and guiding junior engineers across a range of aviation projects.What you'll do:Lead electrical design and coordination for aviation and MRO hangars.Manage project stages from feasibility and concept through to detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.Work directly with clients, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams.Produce and review specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities.Apply knowledge of aviation-specific systems such as: 400Hz aircraft ground power, or DSEAR and ATEX design requirementsThe skills you'll need:Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.Proven project delivery experience across multiple stages.Ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and engage with external partners.Knowledge of aviation regulations, sector-specific standards, and future trends.Interest in sustainable and low-carbon building designAbout the clientAbout the clientArup is an equal opportunity employer that actively promotes and nurtures a diverse and inclusive workforce.
