We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Electrical Supervisor / Senior Account Engineer (Electrical AP) to lead and coordinate electrical maintenance, compliance oversight, and engineering delivery across a portfolio of manufacturing and commercial sites.

This role combines hands-on maintenance, technical leadership, compliance control, AP responsibilities, and client-facing duties, making you the senior electrical authority across the contract.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Technical Leadership

The role involves both hands-on electrical maintenance, including PPMs, reactive fault - finding, repairs, and minor works, as well as providing technical oversight, leadership and AP - level control across the engineering team and wider contract. Travel to other client sites may be required.
Lead and supervise a team of electricians/engineers, ensuring consistent delivery of PPM, reactive maintenance, remedial works, and small projects.
Act as the Electrical Authorised Person (AP)issuing permits, controlling electrical safety systems, and ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work.
Provide advanced technical support, LV fault diagnosis, and engineering expertise.
Ensure all electrical work meets BS7671 and relevant statutory standards.

Compliance, Audit & Quality Control

Conduct technical audits of both in - house and subcontracted work to ensure compliance, quality and safety.
Maintain accurate certification, statutory documentation and permit records.
Drive a strong safety culture through correct use of RAMS, permit systems and electrical safety rules.
Take ownership of electrical compliance across the account, ensuring readiness for inspections and timely closure of remedial actions.

Client & Account Responsibilities

Act as the senior electrical point of contact, maintaining strong and professional relationships with client stakeholders.
Provide technical reporting, risk-based recommendations, and lifecycle planning input.
Support the Account Manager with operational performance, contract improvements, and service development opportunities.

Team Development & Supervision

Mentor, coach, and support the development of the engineering team.
Assist with task allocation, operational planning, and monitoring performance.
Support onboarding, training and competency improvement for all electrical staff.

On - Call & Additional Duties

Participate in and support the on - call rota.
Undertake small works, minor projects, and additional requests as required.
Flexibility to work across multiple sites as operational needs dictate.

Required Skills & Experience

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Proven experience supervising or leading engineers.
Low Voltage Authorised Person qualification or suitable AP-level experience.
Strong understanding of electrical compliance and statutory requirements.
IT literate and familiar with CAFM systems.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience working within manufacturing, industrial, or corporate FM environments.
Mechanical/multi-skilled background.
High Voltage awareness or qualification.
HVAC operational knowledge.
IOSH Managing Safely.
Basic plumbing or fabric skills.
