PositionSenior Electronics Design Engineer (KTP Associate)Based atELE Advanced Technologies, Nelson, LancashireSalaryUp to £40,000The RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available for a graduate to work full time on a 27-month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to develop an advanced aftermarket sensor-led condition and monitoring solution upgrade for the EDM engineering processes, combined with a predictive operational insights model to gain superior operational performance.Employed and supported by an academic team from the University, you will be based at ELE Advanced Technologies' premises in Nelson, Lancashire.To find out more about ELE Advanced Technologies, go to https://eleat.co.uk/.Qualifications We RequireHold a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field such as Electronic/Electrical or Communications Engineering (or equivalent experience).Desirable – MSc or PhD Level qualifications in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.SkillsApplication requirementsSound understanding of design of electronic circuit systems: multi-sensor technologies, signal conditioning and data acquisition with knowledge of applied mechanical engineering principlesKnowledge of communication protocols, test and measurement methodologies for electronic modules, system engineering, data pre-processing and database indexing/analytics for dashboarding/visualisation, embedding machine learning algorithmsAttributesThe ability to work independently to resolve technical issues and work collaboratively.Being receptive to new knowledge and understanding the precision manufacturing environment/dynamics of the envisioned multi-sensing condition monitoring solution.ExperienceExperience in designing/developing electronic sensing circuits, applying ML in a digital manufacturing environmentExposure to good scientific practice/ability to lead a technically complex project/produce research output (case studies/academic papers)Please note that this role requires your current right to work in the UK to be valid until the end of the contract.
