Senior Employment Solicitor (5+ PQE)
We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor (5+ years’ PQE) to take a leading role within a growing and ambitious Employment team.
This is a senior position offering genuine autonomy and a clear pathway for progression. You will act as a trusted adviser to employer clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to complex international groups, handling a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters.
As part of a multidisciplinary professional services firm, you will work closely with colleagues across Corporate, Tax, Immigration, Insolvency and Accountancy to deliver commercially focused, pragmatic advice. The work is high quality and varied

Key Responsibilities
You will advise predominantly employer clients across the full spectrum of employment law, including:
- Complex disciplinary and grievance matters
- Redundancy processes and business reorganisations
- TUPE advice and business transfers
- Employment Tribunal claims (unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract)
- Senior executive exits and negotiated settlements
- Restrictive covenants and post-termination disputes
- Drafting and advising on employment contracts, service agreements and staff handbooks
- Ongoing HR advisory support for retained clients
- Corporate support on employment aspects of M&A and restructurings
- Advising on employee incentive arrangements and share schemes (in collaboration with Corporate and Tax teams)
In addition, you will:
- Manage Tribunal litigation from pre-claim strategy through to final hearing where required
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and trainees
- Build and develop long-term client relationships
- Identify and encourage cross-referral opportunities across the wider business
- Play an active role in marketing, networking and business development initiatives
- Contribute strategically to the continued growth of the Employment team
Key Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 5+ years’ PQE in Employment law
- Strong experience advising employer clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters
- Proven ability to run Employment Tribunal litigation independently
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercial, solution-driven mindset
- Confidence managing a substantial caseload with minimal supervision
- Experience supporting corporate transactions from an employment perspective
- Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing junior colleagues
- Clear ambition to progress towards partnership
Experience advising internationally mobile workforces or working closely alongside tax and accountancy professionals would be advantageous.
