Scotland (travel required)\n Civil Engineering – Renewables, Wind Farms, Substations \n Employment Type: Permanent | Full-time About the Opportunity \n Would you like to work with one of Scotland’s leading Civil Engineering contractors, delivering projects at the forefront of renewable energy?\n Our client is a respected and well-established civil engineering contractor seeking to appoint a permanent Site Engineer to play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-profile projects across Scotland. \n This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute directly to the development of sustainable infrastructure, including wind farms, substations, and battery storage projects — all while advancing your career in a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
\n As a Site Engineer/ Senior Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Site Agent to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for technical accuracy, on-site coordination, and ensuring each project meets programme and quality objectives. \n Your civil engineering expertise — particularly in renewables, wind farms, and infrastructure projects — will be key to your success in this role.
\n Setting out and conducting precise surveying activities. \n Performing initial site surveys and investigations. \n Implementing agreed construction strategies.
\n Supporting the management of construction operations. \n Carrying out bulk earthworks calculations and value engineering exercises. \n Overseeing quality control and on-site Health & Safety compliance.
\n Preparing method statements and risk assessments. \n Providing technical support to the project team as required. \n HNC or higher qualification in Civil Engineering.
\n Proven experience within a civil engineering contracting environment. \n Hands-on experience in renewables, power, or substation projects (highly desirable). \n Strong setting out and surveying capabilities (essential).
\n Familiarity with CAD software (advantageous). \n Valid CSCS card and 3-Day First Aid certification . \n SMSTS or SSSTS qualification required.
\n Willingness to travel and work across project sites in Scotland. \n Full UK driving licence. \n Experience in the energy or renewables sector is an advantage.
