BCS Connect are seeking to employ an experienced Senior Engineer on behalf of our client to manage and support civil engineering activities on residential development sites. This permanent role is ideal for a degree-qualified engineer with SSSTS or SMSTS certification, strong leadership skills, and proven experience delivering high-quality infrastructure works. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage a team of site engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentoring. * Oversee day-to-day civil engineering tasks, including setting out, quality assurance (QA), and compliance with project specifications. * Support groundworks and infrastructure activities, including Section 278 works, roads, sewers, drainage, and associated external works. * Ensure all engineering activities are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements. * Liaise with site management, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress, quality, and efficiency. * Conduct inspections, review drawings, and implement corrective actions where required. * Maintain site records, technical documentation, and progress reports. * Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture across all engineering activities. Requirements * Degree in Civil Engineering (essential). * SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential). * Proven experience in civil engineering within residential or mixed-use developments. * Strong knowledge of Section 278 works, roads, sewers, and groundworks. * Experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers on site. * Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills. * Thorough understanding of construction methods, QA processes, and health & safety regulations.
