Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support the delivery of a major tunnel scheme but be involved massively in the drainage package.\nThis is a long-term contract role focused on site-based engineering delivery, technical assurance, and coordination of construction activities in a complex underground environment.\nKey Responsibilities\n * \n Manage day-to-day site engineering activities for tunnel and shaft works\n * \n Set out, check, and control works in accordance with drawings and specifications\n * \n Oversee temporary and permanent works associated with shafts, tunnelling, and civils packages\n * \n Review and implement RAMS, ITPs, and construction methodologies\n * \n Coordinate with subcontractors, site management, and design teams\n * \n Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to quality standards\n * \n Maintain accurate site records, as-built information, and QA documentation\n * \n Support problem-solving and technical queries arising on site\nRequirements\n * \n Strong background in civil engineering, with proven experience on tunnelling and shaft construction\n * \n Previous experience operating at Senior Engineer level on major infrastructure projects\n * \n Solid understanding of underground construction methods and temporary works\n * \n Competent with setting out equipment and surveying techniques\n * \n SMSTS and CSCS (essential)\n * \n Ability to work autonomously and manage engineering priorities on site\n * \n Excellent communication and coordination skills\nDesirable\n * \n Experience on UK infrastructure or utilities projects\n * \n Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience\n * \n Confined spaces and underground safety training\nIf this is something that sounds of interest please apply and someone from the team will be in touch
