Senior Estimator – Main Contractor\nLocation: Wolverhampton\nSalary: Up to £85,000 + £5,500 Car Allowance + Package\n\nA well-established and highly regarded main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team based in Wolverhampton. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and the supply chain to ensure cost-effective and technically compliant proposals.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead the preparation of detailed and competitive tender submissions for a range of construction projects.\n\n * \n\n Review tender documentation including drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.\n\n * \n\n Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and pricing schedules.\n\n * \n\n Manage and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.\n\n * \n\n Work closely with the pre-construction, design, and commercial teams to develop robust bid strategies.\n\n * \n\n Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.\n\n * \n\n Attend tender meetings, internal reviews, and client presentations where required.\n\n * \n\n Support negotiations and clarification processes during the tender stage.\n\n * \n\n Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within a main contracting environment.\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of construction pricing, tendering processes, and cost planning.\n\n * \n\n Experience pricing a variety of construction projects across different sectors.\n\n * \n\n Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.\n\n * \n\n Strong communication and negotiation abilities.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced pre-construction environment.\n\nWhat ’s on Offer\n\n * \n\n Salary up to £85,000\n\n * \n\n £5,500 car allowance\n\n * \n\n Competitive benefits package\n\n * \n\n Opportunity to join a stable and growing contractor with a strong pipeline of projects\n\n * \n\n Supportive team environment with opportunities for career development\n\nThis position is being advertised by a recruitment consultancy on behalf of our client.
