Company

Leading Specialist Engineering Contractor, designing and delivering complex high profile schemes accross London. Work includes, complex civil engineering, groundworks, bespoke sub and superstructure solutions, deconstruction and highly complex temporary works. Working as a principle contractor.


Role

Working with the wider preconstruction team, you will price tenders from circa £5m to £50m, shaping and influencing the winning strategy. You will identify and manage risks and opportunities whilst collaborating to deliver competitive, high quality submissions. This role is for you if you enjoy…

  • Working for a specialist engineering contractor that works as a Principal Contractor - maybe you're currently working for a main contractor and would rather concentrate purely on the front end civils packages as you lose interest at fit out and services stage.


About You

  • Proven experience in first principles estimating – pricing labour, plant and materials for groundworks, sub and super concrete structures, complex civil engineering, excavation and temporary works and or demolition/deconstruction projects.
  • Confident in managing the full estimating lifecycle, from bid preparation to post-tender award and handover.
  • Previous experience on site in engineering or commercial roles is desirable but not essential - most importantly, you understand the logic and principles that drive the numbers
  • You will be able to demonstrate an excellent track record working with a similar specialist engineering contractor or you will have extensive experience pricing civil and structural subcontractor packages for a building or civils main contractor.
  • At least 5 years experience in estimating
