Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

As our Senior Estimator you'll be part of an estimating team reporting to our Managing Estimator South on the Framework to which you are assigned. You'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely estimates across a mix of one-off projects, packages of work for both Infrastructure Clean and Wastewater.

The location of the role could either be home based, office based or a combination of both dependant on the work needs and home location.

You'll provide estimating support with bids and contracts. Ensuring robust pricing, risk management and governance. Assist and advise the Senior Management Team on commercial influences and risks around any bids.

You'll need to liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to produce accurate and timely estimates/cost data. Ensure, where possible, supplier/subcontractor terms are back-to-back with the client requirements, and, if not, to impact assess any deviations.
 
You'll be responsible for prioritising workload and assisting the team to produce results in a timely manner to meet business needs. Day to day liaison with, and influencing of, key stakeholders, such as customers and operational colleagues. You'll develop and implement changes to process, following understanding of a need to make changes to improve performance.
