About the Senior Estimator Opportunity

PSR Solutions are delighted to be partnering with a respected Regional Main Contractor based in Telford, recruiting for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their dynamic pre-construction team.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the tendering process across a diverse portfolio of Industrial, Commercial, and Education projects throughout the Midlands region. The role is primarily office-based within a supportive team environment, offering the chance to play a pivotal part in securing projects and influencing early-stage construction strategy.

Senior Estimstor Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate, competitive, and clearly presented cost estimates for a variety of new build and refurbishment schemes
Manage the full tender process, including take-offs, scope reviews, risk assessments, and subcontractor engagement
Analyse drawings, specifications, and project information to develop robust pricing strategies
Build strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable and competitive pricing
Lead tender reviews and handover meetings with the pre-construction and delivery teams
Identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective alternatives where appropriate
Ensure compliance with company procedures, procurement policies, and tender governance
Work collaboratively with design, commercial, and operational teams to support bid success and project delivery

Senior Estimator Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator within a Main Contractor environment
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market rates
Experience pricing a mix of Industrial, Commercial, and Public Sector projects
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with strong attention to detail
Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
Proficient in estimating software and digital measurement tools
