Senior Facilities Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of hard and soft facilities management services on a complex operational site. The role is responsible for ensuring full statutory compliance, high standards of asset performance, and cost-effective service delivery aligned to contractual and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities, ensuring plant and equipment are maintained in line with statutory legislation and manufacturer guidelines.
Ensure maximum availability of plant, equipment, and infrastructure to support operational requirements.
Oversee building refurbishment and refresh programmes.
Manage waste services in compliance with ISO 14001 environmental standards, supporting a zero waste to landfill objective.
Implement and control the Safe Control of Contractors, ensuring legislative compliance and zero lost-time accidents.
Maintain accurate facilities and compliance records, including statutory testing, inspection, calibration, and certification.
Drive energy optimisation initiatives to reduce service costs and support budget and efficiency targets.
Manage soft services, including cleaning and security provisions.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a hands-on facilities management role within an operational or industrial environment.
Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety, environmental legislation, and statutory compliance requirements.
Sound financial and commercial acumen, including budget management, WIP reporting, and support with aged debt.
Ability to identify and implement cost-saving and value-enhancing initiatives.
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workload in line with operational and contractual demands.
Demonstrated ownership of issues and the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
