Job Title: Senior Services Engineer

Location: Farnborough (Hampshire) UK Office (Hybrid)

Job Description:

A leading company in lawful and location intelligence is seeking a Senior Services Engineer with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, problem management, testing, and documentation of infrastructure supporting intelligence products. The role involves integrating the company's product set within telecommunication and law enforcement networks, deployed on Linux platforms in standalone, Kubernetes, or cloud environments.

The successful candidate will work onsite in Farnborough for at least 3 days a week, hold a valid UK driving license, and be prepared for ad hoc customer site visits and international travel. Security clearance or the willingness to obtain it is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with troubleshooting and testing new installation procedures and products.
• Field installation and support of the company's products.
• Provide remote customer support and assist with hardware/software upgrades.
• Interface for new product introductions and customer equipment configuration.
• Assist in scripting automation and provide product operation training.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage local network infrastructure and deploy remote connectivity.
• Maintain customer monitoring tools and participate in an on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
• Travel 25-50% domestically and internationally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer product issues, collaborating with engineering.
• Document processes and transfer knowledge across teams.
• Understand network and IT security, and manage deployment processes.
• Experience with Tier 1 networks, IP protocols, packet capture tools, Linux OS, networking fundamentals, scripting, virtualization, cloud deployments, and Kubernetes.

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years in high-tech, telecom, or large system deployments.
• Willingness and eligibility for security clearance.
