Do you have experience in the following, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Payroll and all Balance Sheet reconciliations. I am working with a leading manafacturing company based in Bolton who have been trading for over 100 years and have worked on major projects in Nuclear, Defence, Oil and Gas and Aviation and are now seeking a Finance Officer to join their team. Salary is negotiable and also includes, pension, health care, life insurance, friday work from home. The role is designed to support the Financial Controller with the recording, summarising, and analysing of the organisation's financial transactions to prepare accurate, compliant financial statements. This role will provide the daily management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Payroll and all Balance Sheet reconciliations. Being well organised, self-motivated, punctual, and flexible in their approach to work is essential as well as being a team-player. Desirable Relevant qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, part-qualified, qualified by experience). Experience of Sage Line 50 and Progress Plus is beneficial. Responsibilities & Duties: Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team and ledgers. Provide working capital management and production of cashflow forecasts. Control weekly supplier and expense payment runs in line with the cashflow forecast. Administer credit control to ensure timely cash receipts in line with cash forecast. Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries. Administer all month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations. Process payroll, including salaries and deductions working in partnership with our payroll provider. Maintain precise payroll records and data confidentiality. Provide training and development to members of the finance team. Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls. Support the year-end audit process. Play an active role delivering key Finance projects. Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post. Essential Proven experience as a Financial Accountant. Solid knowledge of advanced accounting and financial principles. A problem solver with attention to detail. Strong communication skills across all levels of internal and external business. Effective written, verbal and IT skills (incl. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent organisational skills. Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships both face to face and via virtual means. Ability to think and work independently (proactively set and monitor workloads and targets). Ability to use your own initiative
