Senior Financial Accountant - Insurance

A great opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong insurance accounting experience and a background in Audit to join a leading insurer. This role sits at the heart of their finance function with real scope to improve processes and add value.
Key focus areas:
Solvency UK / PRA reporting including Balance Sheet and ARTs
Group reporting packs and insurance P&L analysis by line of business
Quarterly reporting pack including commentary of insurance P&L
Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
Reinsurance and profit commission calculations
Working closely with auditors and internal stakeholders
Help to coach and mentor junior team members
Driving automation and process improvements
You'll bring:
Qualified Accountant (ACA)
Strong insurance accounting and financial controls experience gained from an audit background
Excellent Excel and data interrogation skills
A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes
Confident communicator, comfortable owning issues end to end
Perfect for someone ambitious who enjoys technical reporting, controls, and making things better. Looking to make either their first move into industry from practice (insurance team) or have already made that move to the insurance and looking to take the next step up in a progressive role
