The Senior Accountant role in the insurance industry requires expertise in accounting and finance to manage and oversee financial operations. Description The successful Senior Financial Accountant will: Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with industry regulations.Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial records.Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts to aid strategic planning.Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain key financial trends.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and assist in their development.Assist in audits by liaising with external auditors and providing necessary documentation. Profile A recognised qualification in accounting or finance.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.Experience in the insurance industry or a similar financial sector.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £60,000 per annum.Annual bonus scheme.Hybrid working with 2 days in office required.
