\nThe Role

\n\n

\n\n

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and compliant financial reporting in line with IFRS and UK GAAP, strengthening internal controls, and providing high‑quality financial insight to senior stakeholders.

\n\n

 

\n\n

 

\n\n

Key Responsibilities Include:

\n\n

\n\t
• Providing technical accounting guidance, particularly around IFRS (including IFRS 15) and UK GAAP
\n\t
• Preparing statutory financial statements to a high standard
\n\t
• Playing a key role in the year‑end audit and acting as a primary contact for external auditors
\n\t
• Maintaining robust internal controls and driving standardised reporting improvements
\n\t
• Working closely with internal stakeholders across Group Reporting, Commercial Finance, Treasury, Legal and Internal Audit
\n\t
• Supporting R&D tax credit processes and liaising with external advisors
\n\t
• Preparing monthly management accounts, board‑level reporting inputs and balance sheet reconciliations
\n\t
• Delivering variance analysis and performance insights against budget and forecast
\n\t
• Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
\n\t
• Preparing and managing weekly cashflow requirements when required
\n\t
• Providing ad‑hoc analysis and supporting project‑based finance decision‑making
\n

You will have:

\n\n

\n\t
• ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)
\n\t
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
\n\t
• Experience preparing statutory accounts
\n\t
• Solid experience with SAP and strong Excel capability
\n\t
• Ideally, experience in engineering, manufacturing, or project‑based environments
\n\t
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data
\n\t
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
\n\t
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
\n
