Belfast – hybrid with 2 days required in the officeA leading technology sector client with global reach and exciting growth plans currently underway is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team in a newly created role. This dynamic client is presently appraising several acquisition prospects and leading the way in industry innovation. A very vibrant environment to join with excellent career exposure, coupled with a notably friendly office environment with excellent flexible / hybrid working.Reporting directly to a Senior Finance Manager (ex PWC) with dotted line to the FC and CFO, this person will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger team which consists of a PL Manager and 5 PL Controllers. The Controllers are based across 2 sites so there is a small amount of travel involved – namely 1-2 days every 1-2 months within a Mon-Fri working pattern.My client is seeking a fully qualified Accountant and this is non-negotiable. The ideal candidate will likely come from a practice background with audit experience.Key Responsibilities:Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts;Checking the accuracy of the information generated by the financial system and where necessary correct by making appropriate amendments;Assist in maintaining accurate information regarding control accounts;Monthly balance sheet reconciliations;To undertake ad hoc financial and management tasks as instructed by the financial controller;Contribute to internal financial reporting;Management of Purchase Ledger team;Review of weekly bank payments to suppliers;Cost and variation analysis;Assistance with the budgeting and forecasting process;Assisting with reviews and evaluations for cost reduction opportunities;Assisting with Group reporting;Assisting with the company’s external audit;Contribute to further development of systems, processes and procedures within the businesses.Skills & Experience:Fully qualified Accountant and member of a recognised accounting bodyAudit backgroundExtensive IT skills and experienceExcellent presentation and communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamA sound knowledge of debits/credits, business systems and processes and ability to work on your own initiativeArticulate and a clear communicatorMeticulous with excellent attention to detailGood problem solving and decision making skillsAbility to work to deadlines with minimum supervisionPlease apply via website or contact Georgina T at Harvey John for more information.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing, Finance, and ManagementIndustriesTelecommunications, Technology, Information and Media, and Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
