Job Description

A leading consultancy within the property risk and compliance sector is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to join their growing team.\n\nThe Senior Fire Engineer will join an organisation recognised for delivering specialist risk management services through in-house expertise, innovative systems, and practical training.\n\nThe Senior Fire Engineer will play a key role in ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across a diverse range of projects.\n\nThe Senior Fire Engineer's Role\n\nThe Senior Fire Engineer will deliver expert fire engineering consultancy across multiple projects in a hybrid capacity.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nProducing fire strategy reports for new and existing buildings\nDeveloping fire safety management plans\nIdentifying and mitigating fire-related risks\nDesigning fire safety systems (alarms, smoke control, sprinklers, escape routes)\nAdvising on construction materials and refurbishment strategies\nConducting site inspections and providing technical guidance\nLiaising with local authorities, architects, and building control\nSupporting project delivery to time and budgetThe Senior Fire Engineer\n\nThe successful Senior Fire Engineer will demonstrate strong technical knowledge and consultancy experience.\n\nEssential:\n\nMIFireE membership\nDegree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety (BEng, BSc or MSc)\nStrong knowledge of ADB, BS9999, BS9991, and current legislation\nProven experience across residential and commercial fire strategy projects\nExcellent analytical and report writing skills\nWillingness to travel across the UKDesirable:\n\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD or BIM softwareIn Return?\n\nThe Senior Fire Engineer will receive:\n\n£75,000- £80,000 \nTravel allowance\nHybrid working (home-based with site visits)\nSupportive and collaborative working environment\nOngoing professional development and career progression opportunitiesThis is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Fire Engineer seeking a progressive role within a respected and forward-thinking consultancy.\n\nIf you are a fire professional considering your next move, this role offers an excellent opportunity.
