Our client, a prestigious, internationally renowned engineering consultancy, is looking for Fire Engineers with large, regulated industry project experience to join their company to work in support of UK nuclear industry projects. This role will primarily be based from home, with only an occasional requirement (maybe once per month, possibly less) to visit the office and/or client sites. Key Responsibilities Development of fire safety strategies to support compliance with the Building Regulations and relevant fire safety legislation. This includes the development of design solutions encompassing provisions for means and escape, detection and alarm, structural fire protection, suppression, and firefighting access/facilities for the fire and rescue service in accordance with recognised prescriptive good practice and/or fire engineering principles
Undertaking conventional fire assessments / fire risk assessments to support compliance with fire safety legislation and/or the development of fire safety strategies, and to support ALARP demonstrations where non-compliances exist
