Role Overview
PROPERTY SHIELD SOLUTIONS are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join our facilities management team and lead the delivery of fire safety works across our property portfolio nationwide. This is a critical role ensuring compliance with all fire safety regulations and standards, while providing expert guidance on fire risk management and remedial works.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in fire engineering, excellent knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, and the ability to manage projects from design through to completion. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions. This is a travel-based role requiring regular visits to sites across the UK.
Key ResponsibilitiesFire Safety Leadership
- Oversee and deliver fire safety works across multiple sites nationwide, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and audits, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop fire safety strategies and specifications for new and existing buildings.
Project Management
- Manage fire safety projects from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance of fire safety installations and remedial works.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for compliance and client assurance.
Technical Expertise
- Provide expert advice on fire engineering solutions, including passive and active fire protection systems.
- Stay up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and best practice guidance.
- Support internal teams with technical queries and training related to fire safety.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with compliance, operations, and facilities teams to integrate fire safety into wider FM strategies.
- Present data-driven insights and project updates to senior leadership.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, standards, and building regulations.
- Proven experience delivering fire safety works within facilities management or construction environments.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in compliance reporting and use of CAFM systems.
- Flexibility to travel nationally and work on-site as required.
Desirable
- Membership of a relevant professional body (IFE, IFSM, etc.).
- Experience in PBSA, residential, or commercial property sectors. xbpsjku
