Role: Senior Developer

Location: London (Hybrid)

Tech: React, Svelte, JavaScript, GSAP, Three.js (bonus)

Salary: Up to £80,000 plus benefits

This team sits at the centre of that, creating immersive, scroll-driven, visually rich experiences that shape the news agenda.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Building high-impact, interactive stories for web and mobile
  • Translating design concepts into fully realised, production-ready experiences
  • Creating scroll-driven, animation-heavy storytelling pieces
  • Working closely with designers, editors, and content teams in a fast-paced newsroom
  • Helping define best practices and scalable systems for visual storytelling
  • Mentoring junior developers and raising the bar across the team


What they’re looking for:

  • Strong frontend experience (React or Svelte)
  • Deep JavaScript knowledge (ES6+, async patterns, performance)
  • Experience building interactive/immersive web experiences
  • Strong CSS skills (animations, layouts, micro-interactions)
  • Experience with GSAP / ScrollTrigger
  • Understanding of performance optimisation (bundle size, lazy loading, rendering)
  • Experience working with APIs and dynamic data


Nice to have:

  • Three.js / WebGL
  • Media experience
  • Data visualisation
