Senior Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer to take ownership of projects, deliver high-quality technical work, and support junior team members. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of geotechnical and environmental projects, with strong opportunities for career development and progression.

Responsibilities Plan and manage ground investigations including trial pits, boreholes, sampling and in-situ testing Log soils and rocks to BS5930 and collect soil, rock, and groundwater samples Undertake contaminated land assessments (Phase I to IV) in line with regulations and best practice Develop conceptual site models and undertake quantitative risk assessments Support environmental services including CEMPs, MMPs, earthworks specifications, and waste classification/management Carry out ground gas and groundwater monitoring and interpretation Prepare clear, high-quality technical reports Ensure compliance with H&S / CDM regulations and environmental permitting requirements Liaise with clients, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders What You’ll Need Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline 3+ years’ experience in geotechnical or geo-environmental projects Demonstrable site investigation and technical reporting experience Knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, and environmental legislation Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office Full driving licence What’s in it for me?
