The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and deliver technically robust geotechnical solutions across a diverse project portfolio. This is a key role within the team, combining technical leadership, project management and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design and delivery of ground investigations
  • Interpret geotechnical data and produce factual and interpretative reports
  • Provide foundation and earthworks design recommendations
  • Undertake geotechnical risk assessments and slope stability analysis
  • Manage projects from tender stage through to completion
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies
  • Supervise site works including drilling, trial pitting and testing
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality management systems
About You
  • Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar
  • 6+ years' relevant consultancy experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK ground investigation standards and Eurocodes
  • Experience producing interpretative reports and foundation design recommendations
  • Proficient in relevant geotechnical software (e.g. SLOPE/W, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Working towards or already Chartered (ICE or Geological Society desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
