We are working with a specialist geotechnical consultancy in Exeter that is renowned for delivering high-quality, technically focused solutions across a range of complex projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to play a key role in the development of the team and delivery of projects.

The Role

This Senior Geotechnical Engineer position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, working on a diverse portfolio including infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Managing and overseeing ground investigations Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretive reports Undertaking detailed geotechnical design and analysis Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers Managing client relationships and supporting business development Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetThis is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking to step into a role with increased responsibility within a highly regarded specialist consultancy.

Requirements

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field Significant experience in geotechnical engineering and site investigation Strong technical knowledge of UK standards and Eurocodes Experience in report writing and project management Excellent communication and client-facing skills Full UK driving licenceDesirable

Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or Geological Society) Experience with geotechnical design software Proven experience mentoring or managing junior staffBenefits
