Senior Health and Safety Advisor

My client is a well-established, privately owned construction and infrastructure company in the UK. They provide a range of services, primarily focused on utilities (water, wastewater, energy, and telecoms), civil engineering, and traffic management. They have a brand-new opportunity for a qualified Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join their team.

The Role In this role you'll get to use your excellent communications skills, to inspire and help your operational colleagues to execute their work, whilst consistently using “best in class” health and safety practices. You will be encouraged to create communication strategies which resonate and inspire from in-person.

Here are just some of the activities you’ll be getting involved with

* Managing and executing site inspections

* Advising on and setting operational team safety objectives

* Supporting and undertaking investigations into accidents and incidents

* Contributing to new tenders and bids

* Assessing external environments for safe working

* Identifying any gaps in the H&S management system; recommending improvements

* Developing and implementing new initiatives or sharing best practice with colleagues

* Advising on and communicating new working practices in line with any new legislative requirements or best practice

* Actively encouraging Safety Observations and Hazard Reporting
