About the Role Telford College is seeking an Interim Senior HR Advisor to join our expanding HR team during an exciting period of growth and development. This pivotal role will provide expert guidance on management and employee relations, lead on complex casework, and support the development and implementation of HR policies. You will also play a key part in producing and monitoring KPIs, ensuring we continue to deliver a high-quality and people-focused HR service across the College.Although this position is offered on an interim basis, there is potential for it to become permanent, presenting a valuable opportunity for an accomplished professional to contribute meaningfully and continue making an impact within our organisation.If you would like an informal conversation regarding this role, please feel free to reach out to olly.derham@telfordcollege.ac.ukKey ResponsibilitiesProvide timely and accurate HR advice and support to managers and staff on a broad range of employment matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and college policies.Manage and support a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.Attend and advise on formal hearings and investigations, working closely with managers and union representatives where necessary.Engage with stakeholders to ensure policies are practical, accessible, and aligned with the college’s strategic aims.Produce, analyse, and report on key HR metrics and performance indicators such as absence, turnover, recruitment activity, training, and casework.Support the identification of trends and contribute to action planning to improve HR service delivery and workforce performance.Qualifications & TrainingCIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent HR Qualification/experienceMinimum of Level 2 in English & MathsSkills & ExpertiseExperience advising on a range of HR issues, including caseworkStrong experience of UK employment law and HR best practiceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitively and assertively.Ability to manage high volume workload, maintaining a high level of personal organisation and meeting deadlines.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy for data and report / letter writing
