Overview Department: Human Resources Location: London - Greenford (UB6) or Bow Road Type of Contract: Fixed-Term (12 months) Working Pattern: Full-Time - 40 hrs Per Week - (On-site) Our Vision: Changing lives through education What We Do: The HR Operations & Compliance team ensures that all HR processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with legal and organisational requirements. The role: Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Senior HR Operations Manager will work in partnership with the business, supporting a diverse workforce covering multiple UK locations on all HR operational processes and procedures. They will also help create and maintain a high-achieving organisational culture by delivering programmes that reward and recognise key employee capabilities, skills, behaviours, experience and performance and ensure that reward systems are market-relevant, fair and cost-effective. Manage day-to-day employee operational activities, ensuring all queries are dealt with and escalating any complex queries to the Head of HR. Manage and provide support and guidance to the HR Operational team. Serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS systems, processes, and procedures. Focus on continuous improvement efforts to identify efficiencies and continue to streamline processes while ensuring data accuracy for all stakeholders. Drive communications on process and system improvements with HR teams/partners across the UK. Manage core HR operations from HR Systems and processes, appraisals and HR metrics to support executive decision-making. Assist the Head of Human Resources in managing and delivering appropriate projects that support the continuous development and improvement of the HR function. Ensure the effective maintenance and data integrity of all appropriate records, including HRIS systems and other databases. Own the right-to-work compliance checks, ensuring checks are made to ensure all employees right to work documents are valid Monitor legislation and legal provisions that may affect HR operational processes and ensure GBS is legally compliant.
Performance & Reward
Analyse information from the external benchmarking exercise and compare information against internal practices Help managers to see connectivity between pay and reward and overall people activities such as training, careers, and performance management. Coach them in communicating this link to their teams. Support job evaluation/sizing exercises. Develop communications to support the roll-out of annual programmes that reinforce overall reward philosophy and key messages Implement and review international and expatriate remuneration policies Overseeing all people practices, ensuring they are legally compliant.
Essential Skills And Experience
Degree-qualified and at least CIPD Level 5 qualified Significant experience in an HR Operational role responsible for systems and processes Experience in working across multiple geographies Able to demonstrate commercial expertise having created and implemented effective Operational People practices and processes Comfortable in developing team members Solid employment law knowledge and proven experience of applying updated legislation to a variety of people situations A sense of ownership, initiative, and drive Evidence of going the extra mile and beyond your remit Outstanding communication skills and trustworthiness in a professional services environment
