Job Description
Senior IT Project Manager – Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior IT Project Manager to join a well-regarded London Market insurer on an initial 6-month contract, supporting the delivery of complex, high-impact IT programmes.
This role will focus on the end-to-end management of large-scale IT and integration projects, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors within a regulated insurance environment.
Location: City of London (3 days per week onsite)
⏳ Contract: 6 months initially
Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35)
Key responsibilities:
Manage complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle (PMLC / SDLC)
Own delivery across scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies
Coordinate cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure timely delivery
Produce and maintain all core project documentation and reporting
Key experience required:
Extensive experience delivering complex IT and integration projects
Strong background within Commercial Insurance or the London Market
Confident stakeholder engagement at senior and executive level
Ability to operate across waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery models
Strong governance, communication, and vendor management skills
