Senior IT Project Manager – Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior IT Project Manager to join a well-regarded London Market insurer on an initial 6-month contract, supporting the delivery of complex, high-impact IT programmes.

This role will focus on the end-to-end management of large-scale IT and integration projects, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors within a regulated insurance environment.

Location: City of London (3 days per week onsite)

⏳ Contract: 6 months initially

Rate: £700 per day (Inside IR35)

Key responsibilities:

• Manage complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle (PMLC / SDLC)
• Own delivery across scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies
• Coordinate cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure timely delivery
• Produce and maintain all core project documentation and reporting

Key experience required:

• Extensive experience delivering complex IT and integration projects
• Strong background within Commercial Insurance or the London Market
• Confident stakeholder engagement at senior and executive level
• Ability to operate across waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery models
• Strong governance, communication, and vendor management skills
