Job Description
Senior Infrastructure Engineer, £45,000 - £55,000 (hybrid, 3 days onsite)

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will step into a leadership role within a compact, high-performing IT function. You’ll own core infrastructure, deliver enterprise-level projects, and mentor junior colleagues—all while helping steer the team towards proactive, root-cause-led operations. Expect variety, autonomy, and real influence in shaping modern, secure, and scalable systems.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will:
Lead infrastructure operations across Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure AD, Nutanix, and Windows Server
Own project delivery from design to implementation, aligned to strategic IT goals
Act as the senior point for 2nd/3rd line support and major incident resolution
Drive compliance with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and GDPR
Embed ITIL practices and improve documentation, process, and automation
You will need:
5+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering, ideally in enterprise/multi-site setups
Expert knowledge across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Nutanix or VMware, Veeam, and core networking
Strong communication and mentoring skills with a proactive mindset
Proven ability to lead projects and troubleshoot complex technical issues
A structured, analytical approach to incident management and service improvement
