The Rates & Credit Suite of Applications is used daily by Fixed Income Traders and Middle Office Globally. These systems provide for all needs of Traders: providing liquidity to 10+ of the world’s biggest multi‑dealer platforms, receiving and handling clients’ trading requests to execute trades, and capturing and servicing the trades through their sometimes 50‑year life cycle. Product range is wide – starting from Bonds, extending to REPO, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and ending with Exotic Portfolios. Dealing with complex financial products, we build these systems with traceability and recoverability in mind. The wide diversity of products allows us to see different styles of processing but also requires technology expertise to find reuse opportunities between various processing flows and products. Your Key Responsibilities
Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high‑quality software solutions using Java and related technologies Conducting code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure code quality and best practices Mentoring and guiding junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement Identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues Creating and maintaining technical documentation for reference and reporting purposes Participating in Agile/Scrum processes, contributing to planning, estimation, and sprint retrospectives
Your Skills And Experience
Extensive core Java development with a good understanding of multi‑threading and concurrency In‑depth knowledge of low‑latency design principles and performance tuning, and proficiency in network protocols and socket programming Experience with high‑performance messaging systems Strong background in profiling, benchmarking, and performance optimization including the use of memory profilers and analysis of heap dumps Working experience with Bash scripting/Linux and with another programming language such as C# or Python Good understanding of LMAX Disruptor, Multi‑Reactor, Chronicle Queue/Map, Aeron/Agrona or similar
