Job Description
Senior Java Developer - Quant Trading Firm - London - Up to £130k + bonus
Durlston Partners is working with a leading Quant Trading firm that is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their team.
You’ll work closely with traders and quants to design and build low-latency trading platforms. This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop high-throughput systems, optimise performance, and solve complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced financial environment.
What You’ll Do
Design and build low-latency Java trading systems and execution platforms. Optimise code for high throughput and minimal latency. Enhance market connectivity and order management systems. Ensure system reliability through rigorous testing and monitoring.
What They’re Looking For
Strong academic background in CompSci or Engineering. Proven experience in Financial Services (Tier 1 Investment Bank or Buy-Side). Expert-level Java skills (concurrency, multithreading). Experience with low-latency systems or electronic trading.
