Senior Java Developer - Quant Trading Firm - London - Up to £130k + bonus

Durlston Partners is working with a leading Quant Trading firm that is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their team.

You’ll work closely with traders and quants to design and build low-latency trading platforms. This is a hands-on role where you’ll develop high-throughput systems, optimise performance, and solve complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced financial environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build low-latency Java trading systems and execution platforms.
• Optimise code for high throughput and minimal latency.
• Enhance market connectivity and order management systems.
• Ensure system reliability through rigorous testing and monitoring.

What They’re Looking For

• Strong academic background in CompSci or Engineering.
• Proven experience in Financial Services (Tier 1 Investment Bank or Buy-Side).
• Expert-level Java skills (concurrency, multithreading).
• Experience with low-latency systems or electronic trading.
