You will lead a squad of engineers, maintaining focus on secure, quality code whilst providing guidance and mentorship. You will use automation to maximise efficiency and repeatability across the Software Development Lifecycle. You will participate in strategy and design discussions with key stakeholders from across the programme. You will work in a fast‑paced, agile environment and lead by example, developing solutions in Public Cloud. You’ll be a strong, confident communicator, comfortable liaising with senior leaders from across the organisation.ResponsibilitiesProviding technical leadership to software engineers in your squadInspiring and mentoring more‑junior engineersWork with enterprise architects to design optimised solutions which meet product requirementsCoding secure, efficient, and effective solutionsDelivering solutions using Microsoft Azure capabilitiesAdopting DevOps principles to code, build and implement solutionsProviding support to Reliability Engineering teams releasing the software that your team have builtEnsuring that solutions conform to LSEG test strategy standardsWorking with Product Owners to understand requirementsWorking with the squad to provide accurate estimations for deliveryProviding commitments to deliver features and successfully meeting themProviding clear and concise communications to the squad and stakeholdersHelping to attract and recruit talent to a growing teamQualifications8+ years of Software Engineering experience using C# .NET, relational and NoSQL databases, Python3+ years experience of leading successful engineering squadsDemonstrable experience of building applications in Public Cloud – ideally Microsoft AzureA good understanding of ‘well‑architected’ principlesAn empathetic, supportive leader able to inspire your teamMotivation, self‑starting and a “can do” attitudeStrong written and spoken communication skills with an ability to presentAn enthusiasm to learn new technology and approaches – and share them with othersA willingness to undertake Azure certificationAn understanding of the financial information domain is desirableA desire to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersBenefitsCompetitive compensation and benefits packageInvestment in your continued professional developmentOpportunity to work on innovative, industry‑leading technologiesThe chance to shape the future of Digital Rights Management in the Financial Information industryWe recognise that to attract the best talent, we need to be flexible and we are open to discussing work arrangements with you.
