Senior Legal Counsel – EMEA | Leading FMCG Group | London (Hybrid)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the EMEA legal team of a major international FMCG group. Supporting two key business divisions within the group, this role offers exposure to a broad variety of complex commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions.

As a senior member of the EMEA Commercial Legal team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, supporting strategic initiatives and overseeing high-value, cross-border agreements in a highly collaborative and trusted legal function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the drafting, negotiation and review of a broad range of high-value UK and international B2B commercial contracts.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice across business areas including sales, procurement, IP, ESG, digital, IT, and regulatory.
• Support senior leadership on legal risk management, governance and business-critical matters, including product recalls and disputes.
• Contribute to legal operations and strategy within the EMEA legal function, including knowledge sharing and precedent development.
• Act as a business partner to senior stakeholders, ensuring commercial outcomes while upholding legal rigour.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 8+ years’ PQE, ideally trained at a leading law firm and with in-house or secondment experience.
• Proven track record in commercial contracts, ideally within the FMCG, manufacturing, or related B2B sectors.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle multi-jurisdictional matters with sound legal judgement and commercial pragmatism.
• A collaborative, resilient and well-organised approach suited to a complex and fast-evolving legal environment.

Remuneration & Location

Base salary of £100,000–£120,000, plus car allowance and bonus.

This is a hybrid role based in central London (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
