We are supporting a fast-growing, Fintech business operating at the intersection of savings, investments, and digital consumer products. With a strong UK presence and an expanding customer base, the business has built a highly regarded platform focused on delivering accessible, user-centric financial products.

This is a newly created Senior Legal Counsel role, offering significant autonomy and the chance to shape how legal supports product development and regulatory compliance as the business grows. You will act as a strategic adviser to Product and wider business teams, supporting the development and launch of new products and features, while ensuring compliance with financial services regulation.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Product and business teams to support the development and launch of new products, features, and services
• Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks across financial services, consumer protection, and data protection
• Provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice aligned with business objectives
• Develop and support internal policies, processes, and governance frameworks
• Draft and update customer-facing terms and conditions
• Advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, including supplier, banking, marketing, and technology contracts
• Support regulatory interactions and queries, including engagement with relevant authorities
• Deliver training and guidance to business stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise on potential business impact
• Manage external counsel where required

About You

• 8+ PQE with strong financial services regulatory and product experience
• Background in financial services regulations; BCOBS, Consumer Duty, CASS and FSMA
• Background from a leading law firm, with in-house experience
• Strong understanding of UK financial services regulation (including FCA frameworks, FSMA, and consumer protection)
• Experience advising on savings, investment, or consumer financial products is beneficial
